AI Research 1:1s are targeted programs designed for students aiming to achieve specific project objectives, such as defining and completing a science fair project, publishing a paper, or entering a competition. In these 1:1 sessions, we collaborate with the student to identify areas of interest for pursuing an AI research project. Once the student and mentor generate an idea, we conduct a feasibility analysis to determine whether we can support the project. If the project is feasible, we then develop a custom curriculum tailored to that specific project.
The curriculum is designed to meet the student and project needs, encompassing concept learning, practical experience in AI and coding, research methodology, and guidance on preparing white papers, presentations, and videos for submission to their target competition, conference, or journal. All projects are eligible to be included in the student's data science portfolio.
Each student is paired with both a mentor and an instructor. The mentor oversees the student's overall development, while the instructor focuses on strengthening the student's understanding of core concepts and skill practice. AIClub assigns a mentor to guide the student throughout the entire project, as well as instructors for specific areas like AI, coding, and presentations. Our design team also collaborates with students to create polished videos or other content needed for their competition entries.
